This is locally-sourced Oaxacan Green Dent corn grown by our friends at Forts Ferry Farm. Just look at the rich and vibrant colors. We’re mesmerized.

The Zapotec people of southern Mexico introduced the world to this heirloom variety and have used it for centuries in the production of green corn tamales. It also makes the best corn bread you’ll ever taste. Not surprisingly, we’re using it for beer. A different take on our Mexican lager, to be exact. We’re brewing tomorrow but we still can’t keep our eyes off this stuff.

We’re excited to be using a new ingredient and can’t wait to share it with you. #localproduce #NYgrown #confetti #craftbeer #innovation #trythis #crispiboi

We are Temporarily Closed

Stay Tuned While We Look for a New Space:

After over 10 years of crafting beer, building community, and making incredible memories, our time at this space has ended. While we’ve faced our share of obstacles, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and beyond grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey. Our last day of business was April 13.

Through the years, we’ve had so much fun—hosting incredible bands, unforgettable events, and, most importantly, building a community that has meant everything to us. We can’t thank everyone enough who has supported us, stuck by our side, and shared in this adventure through the good, the great, and the tough times. Your support has meant the world to us, and we appreciate you more than we can say.

To everyone who has worked with us, for us, and had fun with us along the way—thank you. You’ve made Rare Form what it is, and we’re forever grateful.

As for what’s next? We’re searching for a new home, but until we find the right space, Rare Form will take a pause. This isn’t goodbye forever — just a break.
